Kentwell Hall, Suffolk : Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk is a Tudor Hall that has been loving restored by its owners Patrick & Judith Philips. Several period re-enactments are held throughout the year, but the main one os the summer one. Its a very relaxing place to visit and to stay and for several summers I enjoyed re-enacting there. The events are "staffed" by volunteers & we all made our own clothing. We also had to talk in "Kentwellse". This was a psuedo, made up Old English.

The Vikings are Coming!!

The Dark Ages Society aim to recreate the period 850-951 AD. Each member develops a character name and identity, either Saxon or Viking. Clothing, accutrements & weaponry are based, as far as possible, on authentic finds nad great fun & merriment is had at regular fighting weekends and period banquets. www.darkagessociety.co.uk
